Beautiful Nashville and Tennessee Time Machine go Hand in Hand
The Batman Building is Listening

Imagine a distant past where the winds echoed with the dreams of pioneers, the beat of bluegrass foot-tapping, and voices of those galvanized by civil rights fervor. Tennessee is not just a state; it's a time capsule of stories and people that have weaved through the tapestry of American history. Now, imagine stepping into a virtual time machine, one that doesn't need plutonium to power it but runs on pure enthusiasm and love for the past. Are you excited? You should be.

On May 15th, a revelation will unfurl—a podcast titled 'Tennessee Time Machine' is ready to teleport you through the chronicles of a state that witnessed more historic moments than Hollywood could ever script. I’m thrilled to share the story of our own 'Tennessee Time Machine.' This isn't just another podcast nook carved in the vast universe of audio content. It's an exploration, an homage, and, dare I say, a love letter to Tennessee's captivating history.

The clock is ticking in sync with Bill Monroe's rhythmic mandolin. And so, we take our first grand step into the world where kith and kin are two sides of the same Tennessee coin.

The Vision that Birthed a Time Machine

It all began with a simple impulsive question, "What if we could actually witness John Sevier at Kings Mountain?" Serendipity smiled upon us; we had in our midst a historian bonafide, a man whose eyes twinkled at the thought of resurrecting bygone days, not in sepia tone, but in the vivid colors of live storytelling.

With a dash of skepticism and pints of caffeine, the integration of technology and tradition — the podcast — seemed the perfect vessel for these stories. Our goal was twofold: breathe life into forgotten tales and instill within our listeners the pride of being a Tennessean.

Dialing Back the DeLorean: Preparing for Launch

From debating over designs of our virtual 'time machine' to calibrating the 'sound' of history, the pre-launch buzz filled the room. More than just transcribing history books into soundwaves, our team was focused on a transcendental experience, where our audience would ride alongside us, feeling the excitement of a war cry at the Battle of King's Mountain; taste the sweat and muscadine wine at the Gaylord Opry in 1956; or smell the gunpowder as Andrew Jackson was in his first duel.

Choosing the right mix of interviews, dramatizations, and vintage audio clips, we wanted a symphony that would do justice to the beguiling history of Tennessee. And of course, no good audio bookie — that's you — would miss the chance to subscribe and binge-listen to the time-hopping exploits of your favorite Volunteers.

Rumbling Through the Past: A Sneak Peek at the Pilot Episode

Buckle up as we are just about to hit 88 miles per hour. The inaugural episode unearths the first people to occupy the state of Tennessee: the Native Americans. Did you know Tennessee was named after a CHerokee Village that in East Tennessee- well, now you know! And, soon you will learn more!

We've got firsthand accounts, local lore, and perhaps, a ghost story or two. Not to mention, a history lesson wouldn't be complete without the age-old debate on who really did invent that famous Nashville delicacy — Nashville Hot Chicken.
